Veterinary certificate in the i EU:


It is the responsibility of the consignor that a valid EU health certificate is present on departure of the horse.​

The health certificate must be issued by the local ministry approved veterinarian, which in Denmark must be booked at least 2 working days in advance.

The health certificate can be issued max. 48 hours (plus week-ends) before the departure of the horse.​

If the health certificate is not present or not issued by a ministry approved veterinarian, the horse will not be accepted for transport, and the transport will be charged in full.​

We shall be pleased to assist you in making arrangements with the veterinary authorities.

​For "registred horses" the fee to the Danish government veterinarian is (January 2021):

Start-up fee DKK 589,- / Euro 80,-- + DKK. 493,- / Euro 67 per every 15 min.

In addition horses going outside the EU must have a TRACES certificate DKK 696,- / Euro 95,-

For each issued certificate a fee of DKK 117,- / Euro 16,- apply.

For all horses exported from Denmark a fee of DKK 125,- / Euro 20,- must be paid to the Danish government.

​The diagram of the horse in the pasport MUST  be filled in and the passport must content pages for medical treatment.

In a normal Danish passport these pages are 41-51.

This can be different from one country to another. We shall be pleased to assist you.

Certain countries do also demand export / import permits.
